Tip #116: Use manufacturer brackets to mount big tools to big tool boxes.

If you own something like a set of Packouts, you might wonder whether you can attach your cordless Milwaukee table saw to the top of a Packout.

Well, you can!

For lock-together style tool boxes, some manufacturers sell standalone brackets that you can attach to a wall, floor or other flat surface.

By bolting one of these brackets to the bottom of your table or miter saw you'll be able to snap your saw onto the top of another tool box. You might need to bolt the saw to a piece of plywood first to make this work.

This arrangement can help you keep tools grouped together, aid you in transporting tools onto a work site, or provide a convenient way for you to secure your larger tools in your work van or tool trailer.
