Tip #101: Create floor guidelines for positioning large tools.

Most contractors and carpenters have large tools like miter and table saws that they store in their van or tool trailer. Usually, these tools are so large and heavy that they are wheeled in and out of the trailer.

You likely have a set of wood blocks to hang or position your tools, and sometimes you need to be precise in your placement so that the tool locks in place securely.

To help you out, try taping out a guideline on the floor of your trailer to show you where your tool needs to track and turn. You only need to mark for one wheel.

This can help you out, but it can also work well for helpers that might not have your eye for where things go.
