MC tanks are much smaller than B tanks. Their short height means it's easier to find creative storage locations for them on a plumbing or HVAC van. Because they're small, they're also very light.
An empty B tank weighs about 25 lbs, while an empty MC tank weighs about 8 lbs. If you're frequently using acetylene and lugging a B tank around is getting you down, try switching to a lightweight MC tank.
The downsides?
MC tanks hold 10 cubic feet of acetylene vs a B tank's 40 cubic feet. You'll need to swap out tanks more frequently and stay on top of gas top-ups to make sure you have acetylene on your van.
