Tip #91: Keep consumables with their tools.

While you might not want to store all your cases of bits or blades with every drill or saw you own, storing a few of the most-used bits, blades, discs, and other consumables will save you time when you need to do a changeout.

You can hang saw blades and a wrench next to a table saw.

You can use magnetic strips to organize drill and driver bits next to drills and drivers, or to keep some different reciprocating saw blades next to your Sawzall.

Storing only a few consumables will keep your tool storage cleaner. If you have lots more blades, bits, and discs they can go into "long-term" storage somewhere else in your truck (maybe a harder-to-access area) to replenish your day-to-day supply.
