Tip #37: Don't carry too much inventory.

If you carry inventory, you know it's a balance.

Your truck is not the supply house and you can't carry everything. More stuff on the truck means that your eyes spend more time scanning for the right thing, and that you have more you need to organize.

But if you don't have enough inventory, you'll waste time and fuel going to the supply house. Plus. not having some inventory means that you might not always be able to fix stuff on nights and weekends.

Try this:

1. Take a look at what you're carrying and figure out when you last used something.
2. If it was 1-2 years ago (or more), leave it in your shop or garage.
3. Use the space for something else.
