Tool trailers with ramps have a gap between the ramp and the deck of the trailer. If you roll tools out of your trailer or you move inventory in and out of your trailer, this several-inch gap can make things difficult if it snags wheels or boxes. You can also step into the gap or trip on it.
Fix it by installing a small piece of plywood with a length of piano hinge that flips down. This will smooth the gap so it's like it isn't even there.
If you don't even want the piano hinge protruding up, you can simply lay the piece of plywood in the gap to make the transition completely smooth.
